Our Story.

Founded in 2009, Cluster has grown into one of North America’s most trusted point-of-sale (POS) platforms for restaurants. We were the first restaurant POS system to run live on mobile tablets, setting the pace for innovation in the industry. Today, with over 2,500 restaurants onboard and $1.5 billion in sales processed annually, our commitment to progress and customer success remains stronger than ever.

David Lafleur

Senior Vice President

David Lafleur brings over 20 years of experience in technology, consulting, and point-of-sale solutions. He began his IT career in 2003 before launching a POS installation company, giving him hands-on expertise in building and scaling merchant solutions. In 2017, he became a partner at Veloce, where he secured major clients such as MTY, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Montréal, and Tennis Canada. Following Veloce’s acquisition by PayFacto in 2020, David served as Vice President of Sales, managing the transfer of more than $1 billion in annual processing volume. Today at Cluster POS, David leverages his deep industry knowledge to drive strategic growth and strengthen partnerships with merchants across Canada. His career reflects a consistent focus on innovation, operational excellence, and creating technology that helps businesses succeed. Beyond his professional achievements, David also serves as President of the Board of Athlétisme Laval, reflecting his commitment to supporting community development and fostering local athletic excellence.

Jerome Stroobants

Senior Vice President

Jerome brings over three decades of sales leadership and business development expertise. He began his career in 1992 with Grolier, starting in door-to-door sales before moving into phone sales. In 2001, he joined WebStorm Media, a specialized online marketing firm, where he honed his skills in digital growth strategies. By 2006, Jerome played a pivotal role in launching Zenith Merchant Services, building a sales team of more than 125 employees and securing strategic partnerships — most notably with Eposnow — driving over 200 new accounts each month. Following Zenith’s acquisition by Evo Payments in 2017, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales, where he oversaw direct sales operations across North America.After Evo Payments was acquired by Global Payments in 2022, Jerome joined Cluster in 2023, where he continues to lead sales strategy, forge key partnerships, and deliver measurable growth.

Amanda Cappuccilli

Financial Controller

Amanda, a CPA with an accounting degree from John Molson School of Business, began her career at Ernst & Young in 2018, rising to Senior Auditor by 2021. At EY, she led audits for public and private companies, focusing on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency, and mentored aspiring CPA candidates. In 2022, she joined Cluster as their first full-time controller, where she was key in building and improving the finance department. Her technical skills, leadership, and strategic vision are vital to Cluster’s financial success.

Giulio Cavallo

Senior Director of Customer Operations

Giulio, a customer experience powerhouse with over 25 years in tech and post-sales leadership, pioneered customer operations at LightspeedHQ, scaling it from startup into a publicly traded giant (TSX & NYSE). He then revolutionized post-sales at Emporos, optimizing systems and deepening customer relationships. Renowned for cultivating high-performing teams and implementing structured processes with a human-centric approach, Giulio is dedicated to creating scalable, enduring, and exceptional customer experiences. He now channels this extensive expertise into Cluster, aiming to elevate customer excellence.

Frédéric Pelletier

Director of Software Solutions

Frédéric began his software development career in 2001 at Wrapmation, an MES software company serving the pulp and paper industry, where he supported the deployment and maintenance of systems across multiple Canadian paper mills. In 2020, he co-founded Majorix MES Inc., securing the rights to continue supporting those mills, a responsibility he maintains to this day. Frédéric joined Cluster in 2021 as a developer on a small team of four and has since advanced to Director of Software Solutions, leading a team of fifteen. His technical leadership has been instrumental in scaling Cluster’s platform to support four times its original customer base and architecting new software.

Melissa Stein

Director of Strategic Growth & Brand

With over 10 years of experience in the point-of-sale (POS) industry. Her career has taken her through both the transportation and technology sectors, where she’s honed her skills in streamlining operations and understanding what clients need to succeed. At Cluster POS, Melissa brings her deep knowledge of the POS world to ensure smooth operations and top-notch customer experiences. She’s passionate about solving problems, building strong teams, and helping businesses grow with innovative solutions. With a hands-on approach and a knack for getting things done, Melissa plays a key role in driving Cluster POS’s mission to empower clients with tools that make their businesses better.

Dino Pennimpede

Manager of Client Delivery

Dino is a seasoned customer delivery leader with over a decade of experience building and scaling onboarding, implementation, and customer success functions within high-growth B2B SaaS environments. He has led global teams through rapid expansion and organizational change, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. At Cluster, Dino oversees the software delivery team—driving improvements in project coordination, customer training, and system implementations while laying the groundwork to support the company’s continued growth.
